GreenTech Rangers: We Begin with Inspiration!

This is the moment we have been dreaming of for a long time. This is where our previous entrepreneurship-oriented projects and events have been leading to.

Today we have launched GreenTech Rangers a one-year pre-accelerator for sustainability startups. With it, we have progressed in our dream of connecting different organisations together to create something greater and more valuable than each of these organisations could achieve alone.

GreenTech Rangers represents an educational and pre-acceleration programme designed to improve social entrepreneurial ecosystem in Moldova and beyond. The programme does this by developing and supporting local social startups specifically in the GreenTech / CleanTech / EcoTech industry.

To achieve the above, GreenTech Rangers integrates various startup initiatives within Eastern Europe to create a valuable learning and development journey for young talents and prospective social entrepreneurs. Specifically, the programme combines inspirational and preparation workshops, MEGA’s Eco-hackathons, sustainability bootcamp, coaching and mentoring meeting, and the national and international green business ideas competition called ClimateLaunchpad into a coherent and logical startup development journey lasting for an entire year.

Never before has Moldova experienced such a programme. For the first time here, GreenTech Rangers combines hard-core mechanism of a business accelerator and caring support of a social entrepreneurship programme with professional focus on sustainable development, nature conservation, and the industry of GreenTech / CleanTech / EcoTech. Furthermore, the entire programme is organized in an environmentally friendly and health-caring way with vegetarian and vegan meals, habit-creating sport exercises, reduction and recycling of waste, and minimization of the programme’s environmental footprint. It is truly a project, where environment and sustainability are not only spoken of, but they are integrated into the very essence of the initiative.

GreenTech Rangers is going to be implemented in three consecutive levels with the first one starting with four Inspirational Workshops. Each of these workshops is aimed at discussing market opportunities and present inspirational startups in one of the focus UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the programme: Affordable and Clean Energy, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Climate Change. These are also the key themes around which you as a prospective programme participant should develop your social startup. Therefore, we highly recommend you to attend the workshops to gain inspiration for social business ideas and collect valuable feedback on your idea(s) from our first speakers and mentors.

The registration process for the Inspirational Workshops has been opened together with the launch of GreenTech Rangers. You can either go to the website of the programme, read more about it, and then register, or apply for the workshops through the form.

Deadline for application: May 10, 2019.

We are looking forward to meeting you at the Inspirational Workshops and starting the GreenTech Rangers journey together!

GreenTech Rangers is implemented by a consortium of three organisations: MEGA, Generator Hub / DNT, and EcoVisio.
